Vellum Grains
We start by setting up the grains and optimizing them for simulation. Using a growing attribute we can drive different behaviour for the sand grains
Forces
Combining different forces like gravity and custom velocity fields we can achieve an organic and interesting motion.
Optimize
After we simulate we’ll cover a lot of optimization tricks to render millions of grains in an efficient way.
Nuke Compositing
Finally we render everything using the power of Redshift proxies and complete the render by compositing in Nuke.

You will have all the geometry, assets & textures required included with the downloads. The download archive also include the completed Houdini project file and Nuke project file
